a cylinder has a volume of 200 in3 . determine the volume of a cone whose radius and height are equal to that of the cylinder.

we know that
volume of a cylinder=pi*r²*h
where
r is the radius
h is the height of the cylinder
Volume cylinder=200 in³
so
200=pi*r²*h------> equation 1

volume of a cone=(1/3)*pi*r²*h------> equation 2

substitute equation 1 in equation 2
volume of a cone=(1/3)*[pi*r²*h]----> (1/3)*[200]----> 200/3 in³

the answer is
volume of a cone is 200/3 in³
