Cartographers painted artistic pictures of angels and religious subjects in the maps during the Renaissance period. Maps during this period dominated by religious views. Artistic painting in the maps helped the navigators in giving them comfort and blessing while exploring and discovering new places. Also, to have faith in God while losing hope.
