The point-slope form:

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)[/tex]

We have:

[tex](-1,\ 5)\to x_1=-1,\ y_1=5\\m=3[/tex]

Substitute:

[tex]y-5=3(x-(-1))\\\\y-5=3(x+1)[/tex]

Answer: C. y - 5 = 3(x + 1)
