Linear, surface and volume unit measure scale with an added power of ten for each dimension you add:

  • From mm to cm: scale 10
  • From mm^2 to cm^2: scale 100
  • From mm^3 to cm^3: scale 1000

So, there are 1000 mm^3 in one cm^3, and to convert the required measure you have to divide by 1000:

[tex] 3.77 \times 10^4 \text{mm}^3 = \dfrac{3.77 \times 10^4}{1000}\text{ cm}^3 = 3.77 \times 10\text{ cm}^3 = 37.7 \text{ cm}^3 [/tex]
