It was a settlement house that provided educational and
skills programs to immigrants who came to the United States. It also provided facilities like playgrounds
and bathhouses. Issues like housing,
work and sanitation were tackled by Addams and her co-founders. Many immigrants
benefited from the services of Hull House.
