Since 1/2 is one half, the rise must be half of the run, meaning that the rise would be 25.

Since tan(theta) is slope of the line:

[tex] \tan(theta) = \frac{rise}{run } = \frac{x}{50 } \\ \frac{1}{2 } = \frac{x}{50 } \\ x = 25[/tex]
Hence rise is 25
