Slope formula: m = [tex]\frac{(y2-y1)}{(x2-x1)}[/tex] (Knowing that m represents the slope)

Substitute (1,0) for (x1,y1), and (-1,-3) for (x2,y2)

Slope of the line of (1,0) and (-1,-3) is:

m = [tex]\frac{(-3-0)}{(-1-1)}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{-3}{-2}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{3}{2}[/tex]  

(Simplify)

Slope of the line of (1,0) and (-1,-3) is [tex]\frac{3}{2}[/tex]
