⇒ 20% of the mixture = hydrogen = 20g

⇒ 80% of the mixture = oxygen = 80g

Step 2 : Calculating mole

mole = Mass / molar mass

⇒mole hydrogen = 20g / 2 = 10 moles

⇒ mole oxygen = 80g / 32 = 2.5 moles

Step 3: Calculating the partial pressure.

pH2 = XH2 x ptotal = (nH2 / nH2 + nO2) x ptotal =10 / (10 +2.5) x 1 = 0.8 barr

The partial pressure of H2 = 0.8 barr
