Well, if you remember Anne Hutchinson, or any of the other execommunicated, Rhode Island, or refered to as ROGUE'S Island, people there often felt seperate from the rest of the country. ALSO, Fear of a large central government, thanks to the British Monarchy, was huge during this time!
