when multiplying by 10, you basically add a zero to the right; everything moves up one decimal place to the left.

when diving, it is he opposite, you basically take away a zero place; everything goes to the right one decimal place.

ex:
10x6=60
6/10= 0.6
10x54=540
54/10=5.4
