A world where we always had to ask,

Why are people wearing a face mask.

A time where a hug wasn't a crime,

Or you weren't trying to stay 6 feet away from people all the time.

When quarantine was an unknown word,

Which would never be heard.

Grocery stores were never so full,

And the nearest thought of catching a virus was so dull.

They're closing every store,

Take me back to when staying inside wasn't a chore.

Take me back to a better place,

When somebody could cough without scaring everyone away.
