Answer:

The number is 30.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be = x

Tripling this number we get = 3x

When I triple my number and subtract seven I get 83, we can write this mathematically as;

[tex]3x-7=83[/tex]

Solving for x, we get;

[tex]=> 3x=83+7[/tex]

[tex]=> 3x=90[/tex]

[tex]=> x = 90/3[/tex]

x = 30

Hence, my number is 30.
