The number of unpaired electrons in [noble gas] ns2np5 is

1(one) electron

In the valence electron in element given above is ns2np5 . The unpaired electron is in np5 subshell because the P subshell can hold a maximum of 6 electron therefore there is one electron which is not paired in p subshell
