Consider other books like "The Diary of Anne Frank" & "Night". Does the presentation of the Holocaust as a graphic novel/a comic take away from the seriousness? Why or Why not?

I have actually read night and it was really good but really sad the fact that his father dies right as the soviet army is coming to destroy these places. Yeah if it was a graphic novel it wouldn't be right and if it was a comic it would not fit this sort of subject in the book.
