So we have the equation:

So we first must multiply both sides by 4 in order to get rid of the [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] on the left side:

[tex] (4x+15)=96 [/tex]

Then we need to subtract 15 on both sides in order to get the x term by itself on the left side:

[tex] 4x=81 [/tex]

And then to completely solve for x, we need to divide both sides by 4:

[tex] x=20.25 [/tex]
