The truck can travel 48 miles with 6 gallons.
Because if you divide 56(miles) by 7(gallons), you will get 8. 8 is the miles per gallon. so if you multiply 8(miles per gallon) by 6(gallons) you will get 48 which is how far the truck can travel on 8 gallons of fuel.
