x-4y=14

You can use elimination
Subtract both equations
x + 2y = 2
x - 4y = 14
__________
6y = -12, y = -2
Plug in y = -2 in any equation
x + 2(-2) = 2
x - 4 = 2, x = 6

Solution: x = 6, y = -2
Or coordinate (6,-2)
