Answer:

when two lines are parallel to each other(their slopes(m) are always equal)

y = mx+c

y =1/5(x+4)

y=1/5x+4/5

comparing the values

m =1/5

since it passes through point(3,8)

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-8=1/5(x-3)

multiply both sides by 5

5(y-8) =x-3

5y -40 = x-3

5y =x-3 +40

5y =x +37

divide both sides by 5

y = 1/5x +37/5
