How do you multiply 2.8 x 4.6 2x4 is 8 and 8x4 is equal to 32 but why is it not 8.32?

well, you ignored the 6 altogether, so that's not good. But you've almost got the right idea for 2.8 x 4.

it's just a matter of decimal points.

0.6 is 6 ÷ 10, right?

so if you want to say 8x4 is 32, that's cool but what about the 10?

use it now,. 32 ÷ 10 = 3.2

8 + 3.2 = 11.2

yeah-ya...... right?
