First equation: x+y= 75

Second equation: 3.25x + 3.75y= 265.75

Third equation from First equation:

x= 75-y

Second: 3.25(75-y) + 3.75y= 265.75

243.75-3.25y + 3.75y= 265.75

0.5y= 22

y= 44

44 adults

Third: x=75-44

= 31

31 children

So total there are 44 adults and 31 children.
