For the 1st question this is what I did:

d=√(x^2−x^1)^2+(y^2−y^1)^2

d=(0−4)^2+(6−3)^2

√d=(−4)^2+(3)^2

√d=16+9

√d=25

√d=5

For the second question I did this:

(xM,yM)=(x1+x2/2,y1+y2/2)

M=(xM,yM)

M=(x1+x2/2,y1+y2/2)

M=(3+7/2,−1+−5/2)

M=(10/2,−6/2)

M=(5,−3)
