you have to get x and y by themselves on their own sides of the equation. What you do too one side you do to the other.

3x+2y=4

-3x -3x

2y=-3x+4

/2 /2

y= -3/2x+2

the Slope is the value by the x and the y is the one without a variable. sometimes equation do not have a y intercept which means they pass through the origin.

in this equation the slope is -3/2 and the y intercept is (0,2).
