What do the center, spread, and shape of a data set tell you about the data?

The centre is the median of the data, so the middle number. IT can also be the mean which is the average.

The spread tells you about the rang of the data.

The shape describes the different types of graphs you get if you graph the data so it could be symmetric or skewed etc. The different shapes tell you different things. For example, a skewed graph might tell you people prefer a certain option.
