I don't know how to explain it good in words but if you click on it it will just be a text right... so I'm pretty sure you just right click and there should an option to color the box. If not I'm sure there is a option on the bar on the top.
Sorry if I'm wrong I haven't used excel in a while I jpjust use google sheets.
