We must find the LCD since we must have equal values in the denominator.

LCD of 4 & 3 is 12.

Now convert each fraction to the equivalent with 12 as the denominator.

3/4 = 9/12
2/3 = 8/12

9/12 + 8/12 = 17/12

Simplify, since this is improper.
17/12 = 1 and 5/12
