Can a right triangle be both scalene and isosceles? explain

No, it cannot because a right traingle can only be scalene but it can also be with isoceles but not at the same time!

Yes it can be. But of coarse not at the same time because an isosceles triangle has two equivalent sides, but a scalene has all uneven sides.
