Steve drew an isosceles trapezoid with a height of 5 cm and bases of 12 cm and 6 cm.

What is the area of the trapezoid drawn by Steve?

The area of a trapezoid is 1/2 times the sum of the bases of the trapezoid.

A = 1/2  * 5 * (12 + 6)

A = 1/2 * 18 *5

A = 9 *5

A = 45 square cm
