1 litre  = 1000  millilitre

1000 ml = 5 people
x  (ml) = 7 poeple
1000*7 = 5*x
7000 = 5x
x = 1400 ml
x = 1.4 litre

Answer:

1.4 litres

Step-by-step explanation:

As the number of people increases, so does the litre of water required. Furthermore, as the number of people reduces, so does the litre of water required.

As such, the number of people is said to be directly proportional to the litres required.

Hence, If a litre of water is provided for 5 people, 7 people wil require

= 7/5 litres

= 1 2/5 litres

= 1.4 litres
