first, we must find common denominators in order to subtract the terms. we can multiply 8/9 by 2/2 and 1/2 by 9/9.
we get:
16/18-9/18
16-9= 7 and we keep the same denominators, so our final simplified answer is:
7/18
hope this helped!! xx
