A CONTOUR LINE record the boundaries of a three dimensional shape. In Art, a contour line is a line which defines a form or an edge. It is an outline of a given object. Contour line is usually drawn by following the visible edges of a shape and those edges along the interior of the shape. Contour line is often used to show dramatic changes of planes within an object.
