What were two ways in which people took actions against slavery

There were two things that people did against slavery that eventually had a major impact. 
1. the underground railroad. It was a way for people who were slaves to get out of slavery by escaping to places that didn't have slavery. They risked their lives and so did those smuggling them out of slavery. 
2. People also wrote about their lives in slavery and their experiences. This helped to change people's minds about it.
