I would recomend looking for an assortment of things from imagery to personification. You can use definitions found on quizlet or if you have your own personal dictionary
You should analyze the figurative language in a text in order to find out what the text is actually trying to tell you, the things that are hidden, the symbols, the metaphors, all that which you need to think about in order to understand.
