Let the first consecutive number be [tex]n[/tex] then,

[tex]n + (n+1) = 115[/tex], since they are consecutive, n+1 is the next number.
[tex]2n+1=115 \Rightarrow 2n = 114 \Rightarrow n=57[/tex]

Hence the two consecutive numbers that sum to 115 are 57 and 58.
