Genetic restoration has the potential to save highly endangered species from the grips of an extinction vortex by increasing mean population fitness to a level that stabilizes the population growth ( Ingrvarsson 2001.....Increasingly Genetic Restoration is being used as a management tool for imperiled populations.
Example: The Florida Panther( known as the mountain Lion.).
