Slope = [tex] \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1} [/tex]
------------------
Substitute as followed
y2 = 4
y1 = 1/2
x2 = 1/2
x1 = 2
Slope = [tex] \frac{4- \frac{1}{2} }{ \frac{1}{2}-2}[/tex]
--------------------------
Solve
4 - 1/2 = 7/2
1/2 - 2 = -3/2
[tex] \frac{7/2}{-3/2} [/tex]
-7/3 = slope
