The answer is Villi.  In the small intestine, nutrients are absorbed by the Villi.  As food continues to move through the small intestine, nutrients and minerals are absorbed by tiny finger-like projections called Villi, which are wrapped in tiny blood vessels called capillaries so that these nutrients can enter our blood stream.
