[tex]m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}} = \frac{2 - (-2)}{2 - 1} = \frac{2 + 2}{1} = \frac{4}{1} = 4[/tex]

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
y - (-2) = 4(x - 1)
   y + 2 = 4(x - 1)
   y + 2 = 4(x) - 4(1)
   y + 2 = 4x - 4
       - 2         - 2
          y = 4x - 6
