Well if they’re parallel, they have the same slope. Now, all we need to do is find the y-intercept of this equation. Plug in the points into the equation:
2 = (2/5)3 + b
2 = 6/5 + b
4/5 = b
The equation of the parallel line:
y = 2/5x + 4/5
